WASA WOODEN PALLET production

We begin our tour at the new cross-flow dryers, where the sawn wood is dried to a moisture content of 18%.

Directly next to the wood drying station is the 3000m² hall, purpose- built for the production of wooden pallets, which houses our large-scale daily wood store in the entrance zone. A few steps further on is the starting point of the automatic production line, the first job of which is to cut the driedplanks

to size. The planks pass through a metal detector, and the exact wood moisture of each individual plank is then measured once again. Planks that are still too moist or too dry are returned to the drying chamber.

The planks, now all with identical moisture content, then travel to the planing station which simultaneously planes them on all four sides.
